Early life Bonnie Hunt, born on September 22, 1961, hails from Chicago, Illinois. She was born to Robert Edward Hunt (1927-1981), an electrician, and Alice E. Hunt (née Jatczak) (1925-2021). Her father was from Irish and Belgian descent, and her mother is of Polish descent. Her siblings include three older brothers: Patrick, Kevin, and Tom, as well as two older sisters, Cathy and Carol, and a younger sister, Mary. She attended Catholic schools, including Saint Ferdinand School and Notre Dame High School for Girls in Chicago, working part-time as a nurse's aide.
